About Us

Arctic Circle is a family owned and operated company located just outside of Atlanta, GA. It was founded 1972 on Cape Cod by Carl and Judy Salo who ran the company until they retired 1997, or retired Judy is still a bit involved in the company. Inge and Marith Hallgren who where going to have a Scandinavian store in Florida met Carl and Judy who convinced them to go into wholesale and later bought Arctic Circle. The company was moved to Atlanta where Nordic Trading, who also imported Scandinavian gifts. Arctic Circle and Nordic Trading started a cooperation that ended 1999 when the companies merged under the name of Arctic Circle. Now the company is owned by Inge, Marith and Patrik Hallgren
